What a great Birthday party we had for Emily. It sure is great to be '2'. Lindsay designed the birthday cake and together we decorated it. Emily has really enjoyed visiting the zoo, so what better cake could we make than a zoo cake, however our cake the animals were free to roam all over. Emily loved it and it tasted 'Great'
Emily helped me make pepperoni rolls to send to Aunt Carrie, we had so much fun cooking, she kept repeating the phrase from patty cake - roll it, and pat it, and roll it and pat it. and she insisted on NOT putting any pepperoni in her rolls to Aunt Carrie, which I'm sure were eaten and enjoyed by her Aunt.
We leave for Athens tomorrow for Lindsay's graduation from college. It is going to be so strange not having a child in school, now that's what I call 'empty nest'. GOOOOO DAWGS, sic-em, woof, woof, woof, woof. I'm so proud of our children, all have graduated from college, even 2 times for Kristina with her Masters. Yeah to 'all' my children
One of the gifts we got Emily was the entire first season of 'Fraggle Rock', ahhh sure does bring back the memories of when I sat and watched it with Kristina, Carrie and Lindsay. Emily has started dancing when they play the 'Let the music play, down at fraggle rock!'. you know you watched it too! We also got her a little 4 wheeler, ATV, that has Dora all over it and a Dora helmet to go with it, with knee pads and elbow pads. She loves putting the helmet on and saying 'i'm going to cut the grass'. as she drives all over the front yard. (Kristina has some great photos on her site).
Well, I finished the dedication dress for little Amelia Raymer. I think it turned out pretty good. I hope that Amanda and Jonathan take photos (of course they will). I know the dedication service is going to be great.
Well, laundry is calling my name so I guess it's time to get off the computer.
until next time. | | |
| We went swimming at the pool 2 blocks from our house. It was so great. Caleb sure did enjoy his time in the pool that when we took him out, he fell asleep. Emily had fun as well, she sat on a floater and I swam laps with her, what a great workout I got. I pushed Emily in a stoller home after swimming and we saw all kinds of neat things - a turtle, a squirrel and a rabbit. We went to Sevierville on Sunday for worship and really enjoyed the day. After a great service, we went to the outlet mall and drove around town.
I'm working on getting out Lindsay's graduation announcements. I can't believe that it is coming so fast. It's just around the corner. GOOO DAWGS - Sick-em, Woof, woof, woof. We will have a very full weekend, with Lindsay graduating on Saturday and celebrating Emily's 2nd birthday party on Sunday. I'm so glad the family will all be together for that weekend.
I'm also busy working on a dedication gown for little Amelia Raymer. I'm so honored that I get to make this dress. Well, I have taken my break from sewing long enough and I need to get back to work.
| What a great day we had today. We went to the Knoxville Zoo. Carrie, Kristina, Matt, Emily and Caleb. We enjoyed the day looking at all the animals and other exhibits, then we came home and went swimming in Emily's new pool.
Don and I are settling into the new offices, we sure are thankful that Carrie is home for a few days because she helped us paint and set up the offices. Carrie will be leaving on Wednesday to go to Albany, N.Y. working at a summer stock theatre as a production assistant and stage manager. She is excited about going, and will be flying back down in August for Lindsay's graduation from College. I'm so excited for Lindsay on her graduating on August 5th, GOOOO Dawgs, woof, woof, woof .

| Happy Friday! We're finally in Knoxville, TN and everything is crazy, but it's nice to finally be here.
Right now we are working on painting our offices... big mess!
The babies have settled right in. Emily calls it her "New House". And she loves playing in the water fountain at the park down the road.
| OK, it's taken awhile, but I'm finally managing to update, and Carrie's not even here to help me- see you were a good teacher, it just took me a little time to remember. I knew when my sister started talking about her site, I had to get my act together (I know, I slow). Life is so busy at the Corps. We've started a Bible Study with the teens, they are like a sponge, really soaking up the Word. It's Great! They are really keeping me on my toes, just trying to stay ahead of them. We have a Ladies Bible Study and Scrapbooking group, and the teens want to come to that as well. There is alot more going on here in the beautiful mountains of TN, but just not alot of time to sit here at the computer - not when there's scrapbooking and sewing to do. No, Carrie & Lindsay, I'm not sewing for Emily (not today). I'm working on Christmas gifts! | | |
